About Amy Boyd
Registered Psychotherapist, MACP
In our sessions I will create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where we can explore together the reasons that bring you to therapy. I want you to feel safe and comfortable in our sessions. I will help you learn new tools to build your resilience, address the difficult things, and support you as you grow.
In my private practice I aim to empower clients to confront persistent problems in their lives and encourage lasting change. My approach is grounded in self-compassion and empathetic listening. I am inspired by my clients' resilience and I would be honoured to be a part of your journey.
As a neurodivergent affirming therapist, I recognize that you are the expert in your own experience. ADHD can present a diverse range of gifts and struggles that make it challenging to cope in a neurotypical world. Psychotherapy can be a valuable step in helping you to manage your symptoms, develop coping strategies, or simply just drop the mask in a safe environment.
I offer a complimentary 30 min consultation because I believe it's important to find a therapist that's the right fit for you.
“Self-compassion is not about self-indulgence or self-pity, it's about recognizing that we all struggle and being kind to ourselves in those moments." - Dr. Kristen Neff
